We at Microsoft are passionate about giving—as a company, and as individuals who want to make our communities better places to live. Our giving is based on a simple, long-held belief: Everyone has potential; sometimes they need the resources to discover it.
More than 5,000 nonprofit organizations benefited from over $39.9 million in cash and $207 million in software given by Microsoft and its employees in 2002.
As a result, these organizations were better able to fulfill their missions in communities around the world. The people of Microsoft are grateful to our nonprofit partners for allowing us to join them in creating opportunities for individuals and communities through technology.
