Microsoft offers Security and Management seminarsSydney, Australia –4 April, 2007 – Microsoft
is offering Sydney and Melbourne IT professionals the opportunity to register for their
Security and Management seminars, which will run in April, offering training and insights
into managing IT security for business.
Advanced technical training sessions will assist
customers through step-by-step demonstrations of how to solve common security and systems
management issues.
Mr Peter Watson, Chief Security Adviser, Microsoft Australia said the sessions
would be run by Microsoft subject matter experts, analysts and customers who would provide
real life examples and experiences.
"Security is a hot topic across the board for IT professionals and we are
delighted to have people like Jeff Jones, Security Strategy Director, Microsoft Corporate
and Matthew Woodrow, Head of IT Security, Westpac Banking Corp presenting," Mr Watson
said.
Other industry partners presenting at the event include IDC, Quest Software, Cisco
Systems and Websense.
The event will include two full day tracks covering advanced technical 'how to'
training sessions on security & systems management solutions for IT professionals as
well as customer case studies, understanding the common misconceptions about security and
trends and future predictions from an industry analyst.

join us to learn how to fix some of the IT challenges they face daily, as well as to ask
questions of the many subject matter experts we will have available," said Mr Watson.
The events will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on 16
April and Sydney Hilton on 24 April. Registrations are currently open and tickets are
