Microsoft Windows 2000 Hands-on Pavilion. Sponsored by Microsoft Official Curriculum, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard.
Visit the three Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) hands-on classrooms and the self-paced, Web-based training area where you can learn more about Microsoft Windows 2000. You will have an opportunity to experience both the instructor-led and self-paced courseware that Microsoft develops for IT professionals.

Instructor-led, Hands-on Labs
Three classrooms feature the following topics:

  • Configuring Windows 2000 for Mobile Users
In this hands-on lab, you will set up a computer running Windows 2000 Professional for a mobile user. The scenario for this lab is based on workers who use their computers both at work and at home. You will configure offline files, an offline Web site, and the synchronization between offline files and files on the network. You will also configure a power management scheme and put a computer into hibernation.
  • Providing Secure Remote Access by Creating a Virtual Private Network
In this hands-on lab, you will create a virtual private network (VPN). The scenario for this lab involves providing secure remote access to a worldwide sales force over the Internet. You will configure a computer running Windows 2000 Server as a VPN server, and then you will use Connection Manager to create a dial-up connection on a client computer.
  • Deploying Applications by Using Windows 2000 Group Policy
In this hands-on lab, you will use Group Policy in Windows 2000 to deploy applications to users in an organization. The scenario for this lab is based on an organization that has several teams, each requiring different applications to complete their job tasks. You will configure the deployment of specific applications so that each team has the applications it requires.
