Partner Boosts Revenues 40 to 60 Percent with Absolutely Right Move to Cloud Services
4-page Partner Case Study posted: 06/19/2014

Microsoft solution provider RoseBud Technologies didn’t offer cloud services to its customers and, frankly, saw the cloud as a bit of threat. But when major companies started replacing on-premises infrastructure with cloud services, the company knew it had to adapt or risk irrelevance. RoseBud found that its business model remained appropriate in the cloud-based market, but that its delivery model did not. It made a painful cut in staff and increased its marketing resources. Five years later, the company’s productivity is up 160 percent by a key measure, its customer base is up 100 percent, and revenues are up 40 to 60 percent. The move to the cloud “was absolutely the right thing to do,” says an executive.

Improves OLTP performance up to 24 times, and DW up to 22 times
4-page Case Study posted: 04/28/2014

“For the SPC system handling a large number of items, it has to process high volumes of transactions. We were especially impressed that SQL Server 2014 OLTP In-Memory is not only latch free, but also lock free and thus guarantees data consistency. OLTP speed improved up to 24 times when we built the native code using In-Memory complier. Even the slow retrieval system became 22 times faster in its processing speed when CCI (Clustered Columnstore Indexes) was applied”, Myongsu Kim, Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering R&D, Samsung Electro-Mechanics
