Marketing Leadership Recruit (MLR) Program

As an Associate Product Manager or Technical Product Manager, you could be part of our MLR Program which is an intense and immersive one-year program designed to give you the skills you need to become a top marketing performer at Microsoft. Each September, a new MLR class comes onboard. Together with your team members, you’ll gain real-world experience in full-time Product Manager positions, while continuing to learn in specialized training sessions led by marketing faculty and professionals. During this program, you’ll:
Use the latest marketing tools and frameworks to hone your skills
Attend courses taught by top faculty hailing from leading business schools and/or Microsoft
Receive customized coaching to practice using Microsoft marketing tools and techniques
Gain top-level exposure working on management-sponsored projects that are reviewed by executives

Associate Product Manager

If you're fascinated by technology and how people use it, your strong analytical, creative, and communication skills will be in great demand here. You'll analyze markets, our competition, and customer needs, then turn that analysis into strategy. Your keen understanding of customer behavior and how our products work will come into play as you develop and execute marketing plans. In this highly collaborative environment, you'll build consensus across all functional areas (other product managers, finance, sales, and development) as well as manage external vendors.

Technical Product Manager

Satisfy your craving to influence Microsoft products by becoming a Technical Product Manager. Here, you'll drive many phases of the product lifecycle at Microsoft. You'll move product planning through research, customer feedback, competitive analysis, and market requirements phases. In addition, you'll be responsible for all technical communications, positioning, and messaging for the product line. You'll also act as principal spokesperson for the product with customers, the press, and the analyst community, while ensuring that your products have a healthy ecosystem in which to thrive (partners, online community, training, and books). It's up to you to bring your products to market successfully.

Qualifications:
Pursuing a BA, BS, BBA or MS in Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing or other related fields
1-2 years experience in the marketing field preferred
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Strong analytical and creative skills

MSN Media Specialist
Join one of the fastest growing teams at Microsoft in a multi-billion dollar industry. You’ll build and maintain relationships with our clients and help them achieve success with their online advertising campaigns (paid search and other products) on the MSN adCenter platform. Activities include: initial setup of their paid search marketing campaign(s), service around analysis of their performance, and educating clients in the process for future self-management.
Search Marketing Specialist
In this critical role, you’ll use leading-edge technology to help customers get the most out of their online advertising efforts. You’ll provide world-class service to our advertisers and partners as you collaborate with sales and clients to develop, execute, and optimize search campaigns.
Search Marketing Analyst
Improve click-through and conversion rates for advertisers through creative development and real-world testing. You’ll work with clients to ensure that the best results possible are received for the pay-for-performance offering. You’ll also help to build advertisers’ keyword lists into relevant categories and compose text ad copy to drive traffic for MSN advertising clients. The Search Marketing Analyst also assists in bid management and creative design for specific campaigns.
Technical Account Manager
Put your genius for technology to full use in this challenging position. You’ll investigate and resolve issues for clients, the sales team, and internal partners. You’ll also solve live site issues, production server issues, and software issues, while acting as liaison between MSN Sales management and internal partner groups.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a BA, BS, BBA or MS in Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing or other related field
1-2 years of online advertising experience preferred
Experience working with relevant search engine toolsets on pay-for-performance search products preferred
