Visa Application Process

European Union nationals do not require a visa to attend Convergence 2008 Copenhagen. For non-European Union nationals, all visa applications must be lodged from the place of residence and application forms need to be requested from the Danish Embassy.

Delegates requiring a visa to attend Convergence 2008 Copenhagen are recommended to follow the process below:

1. Submit your Convergence 2008 Copenhagen registration and full payment to the Microsoft Registration Office.
2. Upon request, the Microsoft Registration Office will forward you a visa invitation letter which will be sent by post or fax (once payment in full has been received). Click here to request a visa invitation letter.
3. Contact your local Danish Embassy for a visa application form.
4. Complete visa application and submit to the Danish Embassy together with your visa invitation letter.
5. Purchase travel health insurance – this is essential for all visa applicants.
6. Allow 4-6 weeks for your local Danish Embassy to process your visa application (note - this is a guideline and may differ between countries).
