Pinnacle Awards

The Convergence 2007 Pinnacle Awards recognize, honor, and celebrate customers that have achieved outstanding success with their Microsoft solutions as well as Microsoft partners’ solutions. The three categories are Role Based Customer Awards, Excellence Customer Awards and Industry Leadership Awards.

Customers were nominated by their partners, Microsoft employees, and fellow customers. Award recipients were selected by a panel of judges and they will be recognized throughout Convergence and at a special awards luncheon with Microsoft executives including Steve Ballmer.

Role Based Customer Awards

The Role Based Customer Awards recognize customers who are driving role-based business performance in the following areas:

The Role Based Customer Award for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service recognizes customers who have utilized Microsoft solutions to improve their sales, marketing, or customer service performance, resulting in improved revenue and/or customer retention.

The Role Based Customer Award for Finance and Administration recognizes customers that have utilized Microsoft solutions to improve their finance and accounting processes, resulting in overall improved business financial performance.

The Role Based Customer Award for Operations and Manufacturing recognizes customers that have utilized Microsoft solutions to drive efficiencies.

The Role Based Customer Award for Human Resources recognizes customers that have utilized Microsoft solutions to improve their human resources processes, resulting in overall improved performance.

The Role Based CEO Award recognizes customers that have utilized multiple Microsoft solutions to drive overall business performance across their organization.

The Excellence Customer Awards recognize customers who are achieving superior results in the following areas:

The Excellence in Evangelism Award recognizes customers who have best evangelized Microsoft Dynamics by sharing information with others and by helping improve the solution they are evangelizing.

The Excellence in Microsoft Technologies Award recognizes customers that have implemented and integrated multiple Microsoft technologies across their organizations to significantly improve their operations.

The Excellence in Innovation Award recognizes customers whose innovative use of technology in their business management system delivers measurable benefits to their organization.

The Excellence in Education Award recognizes a special group of customers that, through their role in higher education, have greatly enhanced their students’ learning experience by integrating Microsoft Dynamics solutions into their curricula.

The Fast Track Excellence Award recognizes customers that have achieved significant results within the first year of Microsoft Dynamics solution implementations.

The Excellence in International Implementation Award recognizes customers that have achieved extraordinary successes in the implementation of their Microsoft business management solution across multiple countries.

The Environmental Sustainability Award recognizes customers that are using their Microsoft business management solution in an innovative way to track their progress toward their environmental sustainability goals.

The Overall Excellence Award recognizes a customer that demonstrates amazing efforts in multiple Pinnacle Award categories. (Note that customers are not nominated in this category. The Pinnacle Award judging panel will choose the Overall Excellence Award recipient from the nominations received in the other categories.)

Industry Leadership Awards

The Industry Leadership Awards recognize organizations in Services, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Healthcare and Retail/Distribution sectors whose innovative use of technology in their operations deliver measurable benefits to their organizations. Candidates for this award are judged on creativity, vision and the tangible business benefits in the areas of sales, marketing and customer service; business operations/financial management; and/or business innovation.

The Services Industry Leadership Award is open to financial services organizations in the banking, insurance and capital markets as well as professional service organizations.

The Manufacturing Industry Leadership Award is open to manufacturing companies in the automotive, machinery, electronic and process manufacturing.

The Public Sector Leadership Award is open to state and local governments as well as educational institutions.

The Retail/Distribution Industry Leadership Award is open to retail and distribution organizations.
