Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

Microsoft and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development are working together on a variety of projects including the Innovative Teaching and Learning Research project to transform teaching practices.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) brings together the governments of countries and regions committed to democracy and the market economy from around the world. OECD seeks to develop and review policies to enhance the efficiency and the effectiveness of education provisions and the equity with which their benefits are shared. Strategies include thematic reviews in specific policy areas and collecting detailed statistical information on education systems, including measures of individual competency levels.

One of the many projects on which OECD and Microsoft are working together is Innovative Teaching and Learning Research, a multi-year global research program designed to investigate the factors that promote the transformation of teaching practices and the impact those changes have on students’ learning outcomes across a broad range of geographic contexts.
