Step 2: Acquire licenses
You can acquire licenses through one of Microsoft's Academic Volume Licensing programs by contacting an Authorized Education Reseller (AER). AERs are authorized to sell volume licensing agreements to qualified educational institutions and sell Academic Edition retail products to K-12 and higher educational institutions, their faculty, staff members, and students.
Did you know? Microsoft Volume Licensing programs (including Academic Volume Licensing programs) never cover the initial full Microsoft Windows desktop operating system (OS) license. Only Windows OS upgrade licenses are available through volume licensing, which require that you have a qualifying OS already installed. Learn more.
