Global e-Sustainability Initiative

Microsoft is on the board of the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) — a collaboration between leading IT companies, government agencies and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) whose purpose is to achieve environmental sustainability through technology innovation.

Microsoft is proud to have helped lead and enable GeSI's influential research and work on critical issues ranging from how IT can address climate change to responsible sourcing in the hardware supply chain.
