Melee
Melee Melee combat is focused squarely on dealing damage in hand-to-hand combat and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to do just that. There’s always a creature around the next corner itching to pick a fight.
Skills
A melee fighter will be equally proficient in the swing of a blade, arch of a swooping axe, or pummeling power of a hammer. You can pick up any melee weapon within Ehb and be assured that you can dish out as much as your new weapon will allow. As your skill grows so also will the variety of weapons and outrageous amounts of damage you can inflict.
Attributes
Melee attacks are very useful for wading in and dealing direct damage to the enemy so your strongest and most heavily armored party members are the most natural fit for a melee fighter. However if you’d like one of your physically weaker players to become stronger then simply give him a sword and send him into battle. Swinging a heavy cudgel will make the character stronger with every impact of their weapon, as they smash the life out of their opponents.
Ranged
Ranged A skillful archer can wield many forms of ranged weapons from standard battle bows and short bows to powerful crossbows and fanciful guns that shoot bolts of lightning or a flurry of arrows. With the focus on fun you’ll never have to worry about running out of arrows or searching for ammunition. The true physics engine will allow your arrows to arc realistically through the air and play an important part in deciding where to situate your party when getting ready to enter battle.
Skills
As each party member spends time learning to aim and let loose arrows their ability to accurately hit their target will grow and their Ranged skill will increase. You will discover bows that can reach further and inflict more damage as you progress, increasing your party’s ability to engage the enemy as they approach or retreat.
Attributes
A dexterous party member makes for a good archer but more is needed to become a legendary archer that can fully utilize the heavy crossbows and guns. Heavy bows will also require the archer to be hardy and strong. But the advantages of a strong and skilled archer will be rapidly seen as your archer rains down terror on the heads of your unsuspecting enemies before they even know that their ranks are being torn apart.
Magic
Magic Drawing upon the mana in the world, mages can provide the kindest of blessings and the most malignant of curses. A crucial member of the party, the mage can heal wounded adventurers, summon beasts, cast buffing spells, and also bring fallen party members back from the grave. The mage can also singe opponents with fireballs, cast lightning bolts, encase an enemy in ice, and let loose an acidic cloud to scar the lungs of any creatures unfortunate enough to be near.
Skills
The study of magic is broken down into the two schools, Combat Magic and Nature Magic. As your Combat or Nature Magic skill increases, more powerful and varied spells will become usable.
Attributes
Mages need to be intelligent to understand the world of magic. Usually taking their place at the back of the party a mage will be ready to cast beneficial spells for the group while throwing magic spells at the opponent. Intelligence will also allow the magic user to wear certain types of magical armor for superior protection.
