If not for the forbearance and mercy of other races, the Krug might long ago have become extinct. Although not inherently evil, the Krug all too often are used as tools of darkness in exchange for power they cannot acquire on their own.

Demonstrating the evil nature of the forces in power, fallen warriors have been reanimated to turn against their own kind. Equipped with the weapons and armor they were laid to rest with, these skeletons have repopulated long silent dungeons and are eager to increase their ranks by taking you with them.

These reclusive creatures dwell within underground veins of ore and mineral wherever they are found. When their habitat is disturbed, Darklings can become very aggressive, and can be quite dangerous when encountered in swarms. While physically weak, and somewhat insubstantial, mature darklings can unleash wild arcs of energy to lash out at enemies and equipment.
