As Vice President,
Enterprise Sales, Barbara Gordon is dedicated to
delivering the best possible customer experience
to all of Microsoft’s enterprise customers.
The Enterprise Sales organization brings together
sales strategy and operations, customer experience,
emerging markets strategy and the global accounts
program with the goal of creating the best possible
experience for Microsoft’s enterprise customers.
Ms. Gordon is responsible for ensuring the successful
alignment of Microsoft resources and technologies
with customer business opportunities for the creation
of true business value.
Ms. Gordon joined
Microsoft in November 2003 as Vice President of
Global Accounts where she led our global accounts
organization in the delivery of a globally consistent,
value-driven customer experience for a community
of 48 world- and industry-leading companies.
Ms. Gordon joined
Microsoft from Sun Microsystems, where she held
a variety of executive positions, including the
vice president of worldwide software sales. In this
role, she was responsible for maximizing Sun's relationships
with its top customers around the world by expanding
joint business opportunities and streamlining internal
processes. During her tenure at Sun, Ms. Gordon
revitalized the business in one of Sun's original
markets for two years as the vice president of academic
and research computing. She also served as vice
president, sales for Sun Microelectronics and was
responsible for more than doubling the revenue during
her two-year assignment. Ms. Gordon was a key member
of Sun's Leadership Council and spent a year in
the role of director and executive assistant to
Sun Chief Executive Officer Scott McNealy.
Ms. Gordon has worked
in the computer industry for more than two decades
and has held sales management positions at AT&T
and Digital Equipment Company.
Ms. Gordon holds a
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with
a minor in history from Bowling Green State University
in Bowling Green, Ohio, USA. She currently lives
in Kirkland, Washington, USA, with her husband of
22 years and their dog Monkey. In her spare time,
she enjoys reading, movies, hiking, jogging, yoga
and vacationing.
Bill
Hilf
General Manager of Platform Strategy
Bill Hilf is the General
Manager of Platform Strategy driving Microsoft's
platform strategy efforts across the company. Bill’s
primary focus is to champion platform initiatives
that cross these groups, while leading long-term
strategy planning in the Windows Server and Tools
organization. In this role, Bill regularly engages
with the field and worldwide regions to provide
a direct channel for customer and community feedback.
This interaction enables customer and community
input to be incorporated within Microsoft's forthcoming
products and technologies.
Prior to joining
Microsoft, Bill led IBM's Linux/Open Source Software
technical strategy at a world-wide level for the
Emerging and Competitive markets organization, in
addition to his direct customer interaction as a
senior enterprise architect. Bill has been involved
with Open Source Software (OSS) for over twelve
years, and is an IEEE Distinguished Visitor on the
subject of OSS. Prior to joining IBM, Bill was Vice
President of Engineering for eToys, where he helped
build one of the premier ecommerce businesses on
the Web. Previously, he worked as a software architect
for multiple Silicon Valley-based software companies,
such as CNET Networks and Black Sun Interactive.
Bill is a graduate of Chapman University Graduate
School.
Dan'l
Lewin
Corporate Vice President, Strategic and Emerging
Business Development
Dan'l Lewin is corporate
vice president of Strategic and Emerging Business
Development, responsible for managing worldwide
strategic business relationships with venture capitalists
and emerging venture-capital-backed businesses,
as well as managing the business relationship with
leading global industry partners such as SUN, Adobe,
Intuit and BEA to ensure their applications interoperate
with and run well on the Microsoft platform –
for the benefit of the companies' common customers.
Lewin is based at Microsoft’s Mountain View,
Calif. campus.
A 25-year Silicon
Valley veteran, Lewin was most recently CEO of Aurigin
Systems Inc., an enterprise software company focused
on intellectual property asset management. He also
spent 18 years as an executive, leading sales and
marketing divisions for companies including Apple
Computer Corp., NeXT Inc. and GO Corporation. In
addition, Lewin has served as a consultant for emerging
companies, venture capital firms and corporate joint
ventures. Lewin holds an A.B. in politics from Princeton
University.
Manu
Namboodiri
Sr. Product Manager, Windows Client Marketing group
Manu Namboodiri is
a Sr. Product Manager in the Windows Client Marketing
group, focused on the deployment technologies for
Windows Vista. Manu has extensive product management
and corporate development experience from companies
such as Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Sun Microsystems.
He has an MBA from the J.L Kellogg School of Management,
Northwestern University as well as a Master’s
in Computer Science from the University of Texas
at Austin.
Michel
Gambier
General Manager, Information Worker Business - Microsoft
Asia Pacific
Michel Gambier is
the General Manager for the Information Worker Business
at Microsoft Asia Pacific. He is responsible for
overseeing the development of the business and marketing
strategy for the Microsoft® Office System in
the Asia Pacific Region. The Microsoft® Office
System, includes well-known products such as Microsoft
Office and Microsoft Project, as well as SharePoint®
Portal Server and new offerings including OneNote®
and Live Meeting. The Information Worker Business
is the second-largest of the seven business groups
at Microsoft. Mr. Gambier joined Microsoft in December
1998 and has relocated to Asia from Microsoft's
United States subsidiary where he was the Director
of Windows Client business. In that role, he managed
the Windows Client business and marketing strategy
in the United States. Prior to his role in the United
States subsidiary, Mr. Gambier was Group Product
Manager for the Windows Server Product Group with
responsibility for Windows Advanced Server and Windows
Datacenter Server Product Management within the
Windows product team.
Mr. Gambier is a 23
Years IT Industry veteran. Prior to joining Microsoft,
he held senior marketing, business development and
software engineering positions at Sequent Computer
Systems and Digital Equipment Corporation in the
United States. He holds a Master in Business Administration
from Babson College and an Electronic Engineering
degree from ESIEE in Paris.
Ruth
Connolly
General Manager, Microsoft Dynamics - Microsoft
Asia Pacific
Ruth Connolly is the
General Manager of Microsoft Dynamics at Microsoft
Asia Pacific since 2003. She is responsible for
sales, marketing, services, operational and business
development of Microsoft Dynamics in the region
which includes Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast
Asia and Korea.
Microsoft Dynamics,
formerly known as Microsoft Business Solutions,
is a line of integrated, adaptable business management
solutions that enables businesses to make business
decisions with greater confidence. Microsoft Dynamics
works like and with familiar Microsoft software,
automating and streamlining financial, customer
relationship and supply chain processes in a way
that helps drive business success.
Prior to joining Microsoft,
Ruth was the Vice President of Marketing for Peoplesoft
Asia Pacific and Japan region. Ruth has over 20
years of experience in the IT industry in a wide
range of roles including Sales, Marketing, Channel
Management and Consulting. Her previous positions
in the region included Managing Director of SAP
India, and Autodesk Asia Pacific. Prior to working
in the IT Industry, Ruth spent 12 years with the
General Electric Company in various manufacturing
management positions in Aircraft Engine, Switchgear,
Distribution Equipment and Factory Automation Groups.
