Faced with an economic downturn and decreased tax revenue, state and local governments have to do more with less. The role of information technology has never been more critical.

Welcome to the “Bright Side of Government,” a page that will spotlight the “bright side” of IT in the government sector with videos, by you and from you, that showcase how government IT pros are putting technology to use to help state and local government agencies do more with less.

We invite you to upload your best practices videos and share with your peers how you are saving time and money while delivering the technology required to fulfill your agency’s mission.

Important: The government has strict rules and policies about product and vendor endorsements, so we ask that all submissions be about technology and solutions in general. We cannot post videos that name Microsoft or other government contractors, vendors or suppliers. Stay tuned for more details on this and other promotions here on Microsoft State and Local Government’s "Bright Side of Government" page.
