Steve Maguire has a degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Arizona. He has been programming professionally for the past 17 years in both the U.S. and Japan. Steve joined Microsoft Corporation in 1986 to work on high-end Macintosh applications. Writing Solid Code is Steve's first book. He has also authored Debugging the Development Process, the second in his series to give programmers practical guidelines for developing professional, high-quality software. He lives in Seattle, Washington.
