David Iseminger is a member of the Windows NT Performance Group at Microsoft Corporation. As a self-taught computer professional Mr. Iseminger has absorbed countless computer books during his trench-lines education, reading each with an eye toward comparative analysis—a by-product of his double degree in Comparative Literature and English from the University of Washington. David''s expertise in operating system performance has been on Windows NT RAS and its remote access competitors, routing, industry-wide and Internet-wide networking protocols and new Windows NT technology. Part of his ongoing analysis includes market trends in the above areas, and how such trends impact Windows NT.
In addition to writing trade computer books, David writes novel-length fiction, and completed his fourth novel in February of 1997. David's programming efforts include a capacity analysis program called RCAT (RAS Capacity Analysis Tool), slated for release in the Windows NT 5.0 Resource Kit. RCAT 2.1 is currently used as an internal Microsoft benchmark for RAS, protocol, and LAN performance analysis, and is also in use by other industry leaders. RCAT 2.1 will eventually be offered to the computer industry as a standard benchmark for remote access solution comparisons. David is the author of INSIDE WINDOWS NT INFRASTRUCTURES (Wiley) and REMOTE ACCESS SOLUTIONS (Wiley).
