Brian Travis is Chief Technical Officer and Founder of Architag International Corporation, (http://www.architag.com) a consulting and training company based in Englewood, Colorado.
Brian is an expert in real-world XML implementations. Since founding Architag International (then known as Information Architects) in 1993, he has created intelligent content management systems for Architag clients around the world. Brian is also a noted instructor in XML and related standards -- he designed and often teaches the Microsoft XML courses offered through MSTE. In his role as principal instructor for Architag University, he has taught clients about XML in the U.S., Japan, Germany, and Sweden. His first book, "The SGML Implementation Guide" (Springer-Verlag, 1995), was a real-world guide to implementing structured markup technologies. He is currently planning a second volume in his series on the OmniMark middle-tier scripting language, OmniMark At Work (Volume 1: SGML University Press, 1997).
In May, Brian presented "Essential XML" for Microsoft in Stockholm, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Rome, Paris, London, Copenhagen, and Munich. He will also be a featured speaker at this year's TechEd, as well as at the Seybold conferences and other industry events.
