Laurie Ann Ulrich started her professional life planning to be an artist, but she discovered computers in 1981 and has been hooked on them ever since. Moving from systems management to training management and then to forming her own computer training and consulting firm (Limehat & Company, Inc.) in 1990, Laurie has been helping businesses and individuals make effective use of computers for more than a decade. She has trained thousands of students, written hundreds of computer training manuals, and in the last three years has sole authored, co-written, and contributed to more than 15 nationally-published computer books on topics ranging from Microsoft Office to using the Internet to plan a vacation.
