Jim Buyens has numerous published computer titles for MS Press to date including Web Database Development Step by Step (First Edition), Running FrontPage Version 2002, and Stupid Web Tricks. He is the senior PC-LAN administrator for AG Communication Systems, a leading provider of telephone switching equipment and software. An early proponent of TCP/IP connectivity, he administers a worldwide corporate network that includes more than 50 Windows NT servers and more than 2,000 client personal computers. He was an early champion of World Wide Web applications for intranet use, and he administers a corporate Web site at www.agcs.com.He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1971 and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University in 1992. When not administering a network or writing books, he enjoys traveling and attending professional sports events—especially NHL hockey.
