System Requirements

You’ll need the following software to build and run the code samples for this book:
  • Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition, or Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, or Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite.
  • For actual device development (that is, not for emulator development), a .NET Micro Framework-compatible development kit, such as those listed here. Each is supplied with suitable driver software.
  • To develop SideShow applications, you need to run Windows Vista.


Installing the Code Samples

After you download the code samples file to your computer, run the installer and follow the instructions that appear.

Uninstalling the Code Samples

To remove the code samples from your computer, make the appropriate selection from Add Or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
