Windows ADK overview

The Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK) is a collection of tools and documentation that you can use to customize and deploy Windows and Windows Server operating systems to new computers and servers. It includes the deployment tools that were previously released as part of the OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) and has two key scenarios:

  • Windows deployment
  • Windows assessment

Microsoft Office v16.1 OPK Use this set of tools, product files, and documentation for preloading Office 2016 suites on new PCs distributed to end users.
Windows 8.1 ADK​ Use the download, tools and supporting documentation from the Windows ADK to preinstall Windows 8.1.
Internet Explorer 10 OPK Use these tools and documentation to preinstall Windows Internet Explorer 10 in 38 languages. (Use with Windows 7 and Windows 8 only.)
Microsoft Security Essentials OPK Use the OPK to support the configuration and deployment of Microsoft Security Essentials as a free preinstalled security solution for Windows 7. (Use with Windows 7 only.)
Windows Essentials OPK Use the installer application and instructions to silently install and configure Windows Essentials. (Use with Windows 7 and Windows 8 only.)
Skype OPK Use the installer application and instructions to silently install Skype for customers.
