Important changes are being introduced to simplify the process of selling Office 2010 with new PCs:

1. The Office 2010 Single Image
   One single image that contains all of the elements necessary to preload all three Office 2010 suites onto new PCs for easy end-user activation. The image is part of the OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK).
2. The Office 2010 Product Key Card (PKC)
   Use the Product Key Card to easily activate Office 2010. Product Key Cards are available to activate any of the three Office 2010 suites.
3. Office Starter 2010
   Microsoft Office Starter 2010 is a new, royalty-bearing base productivity suite designed for home users who are not ready to buy a full version of Office 2010. It consists of limited-functionality versions of Word and Excel that include advertising. It does not include PowerPoint or Outlook. Office Starter 2010 is available only through OEMs and system builders, and is available only on new PCs when preloaded in conjunction with the Office Single Image containing all three Office suites, ready for end-user activation. Strict licensing provisions govern the marketing of Office Starter 2010.
4. PC Essentials for System Builders
   A new, optional, discount licensing program that provides you the opportunity to enhance the value of your PCs. PC Essentials for System Builders enables you to cost effectively offer Office Starter 2010, along with other innovative software tools that help your customers get the most out of their PCs.

It's easy to include Office 2010 with a new PC. Simply follow these steps:

1. Download the Office 2010 OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK).
2. Use the OPK to preload Office 2010 on the PC.
3. Sell a full Office suite with your PC.
