Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do I use Disc 2 for?

When you open certain projects or tasks, Picture it will ask you to insert CD 2, which contains additional Picture It! content:

Photo albums, business cards, calendars, cards, certificates, collages, designer frames, designer mats, edges, e-mail post cards, flyers, fun money, head swaps, invitations, kids IDs, magazine covers, postcards, reprints, sounds, stickers, surface rubbings, text effects and trading cards.

2. Why can't Picture It! see the thumbnails for .jpg files
?
You might have installed another application after you installed Picture It! The installation could have changed the file extensions in the registry from lower case letters (.jpg) to upper case letters (.JPG). Picture It! doesn't read file extensions in upper case.

To change the extensions in the registry back to lower case so that Picture It! can display .jpg file thumbnails, reinstall Picture It!

3. I'm sending pictures in JPEG file format to my friends, who tell me they often have to scroll to view them because they're so large. What am I doing wrong? Or does the program they're viewing the pictures in influence the size?

The Save for the Web task in Picture It! will reduce the size so that both you and the recipient can see the whole picture at once.
Note: Reducing the size also decreases download time.

Try this:


1. Make sure the picture you want to send is open in the picture pane.
2. On the Workbench tab, click Save & Send, and then click Save for the Web.
3. Click One-quarter screen, then complete the task.
4. On the Workbench tab, click Save & Send, and then click Send Via E-Mail.

4. How do I print several pictures on a page?

Answer is just three easy steps:

1. On the Workbench, click Print, and then click Print Reprints.
2. In step 2, double-click the template you want.
3. In step 3, drag each picture onto one of the stand-in pictures.
