Update: Microsoft Releases OpenXML Implementation Notes
Company Taking Concrete Steps to Promote ODF and OpenXML Interoperability.

REDMOND – Jan. 19, 2009 – In December, 2008 Microsoft published implementation notes Open Document Format (ODF) in Office 2007 Service Pack 2. On Jan. 16, 2009 the company published a second set of such notes, this time for OpenXML, as part of its commitment to further promote transparency and interoperability among office productivity applications. The notes are designed to offer information useful to developers seeking to enhance interoperability with Microsoft products.
