About DigiGirlz

At Microsoft we take pride in our ability to reach out to many diverse groups and provide opportunities for people to learn more about and engage in technology. Our DigiGirlz programs provide high school girls with opportunities to learn about careers in technology, talk with Microsoft employees about their life experiences, and enjoy hands-on computer and technology workshops. DigiGirlz programs are offered worldwide at several Microsoft locations. All programs are free of charge for attending students.

About The Progras: DigiGirlz Day & DigiGirlz High Tech Cap

Microsoft's DigiGirlz Day is a one-day event designed to provide girls in grades 9 through 12 with a better understanding of what a career in technology is all about. The students have the chance to use cool Microsoft technologies, learn about various careers in technology, and interact with Microsoft employees and executives to learn what it's like to work at Microsoft. Participants in DigiGirlz Day gain a better understanding of the variety of opportunities available in the high-tech industry, and they learn about how they can turn their interests into a future career.

Microsoft DigiGirlz High Tech Camp is a multiday experience for high school girls that is designed to give them an in-depth look at Microsoft and careers in technology. The girls participate in hands-on technology courses, watch product demonstrations and experiment with the products, and take a tour of the Microsoft campus that hosts the event. They also get to know other young women who are interested in technology. Participants are provided with networking opportunities and gain insight into the daily job of one of the company's outstanding women employees through a day-long job shadow.
