Camps are designed for beginners or intermediates to enhance their knowledge of the latest technology, build critical-thinking and problem-solving ability, and teach them valuable coding skills. This season's featured camp is Learn to Code with Jetpack Jumper–two hours of interactive, hands-on fun.

    Learn to Code with Jetpack Jumper


    Want to power up your phone in a whole new way? Join us for this free, two-hour camp where you'll get your programming power on, and learn to fix a phone app in no time flat. Beginners to programming discover the basics needed to code a game that runs as an app on a mobile phone or tablet. It’s all part of computer science. Then they can try out how it all works by fixing a Jetpack Jumper game on a Windows Phone, a Surface Pro 3, or maybe even a device of their own. The main character in the game is a crazy robot who is trying to make it through a maze of wacky obstacles. Find your store and register today!

    Learn to Code with Jetpack Jumper


    Join our free, two-hour camp to discover the secrets to great game design as you check out the TouchDevelop Hub’s showcase of cool games – developed by programmers like you! After that, it’s your turn! First fix a Jetpack Jumper game via Microsoft Imagine on a Windows Phone or Surface Pro 3. The main character in the game is a crazy robot who is trying to make it through a maze of wacky obstacles. Then try out coding various games on TouchDevelop that provide key coding lessons and much, much more. Games you may like to program include Falling Rocks, Monster Slicer and Put Phone on Forehead.     YouthSpark Field Trips

    Book a YouthSpark Field Trip at the Microsoft store where kids get hands-on as they learn to code and design games. Our all-new field trips use Microsoft technology such as TouchDevelop, Kodu, and Project Spark to get kids familiar with the coding environment while exploring and having fun. We offer a variety of field trips ranging from two-hour to half-day sessions designed for groups of all ages and skill levels. Contact your local Microsoft store, and ask for the Community Development Specialist to book your YouthSpark Field Trip today.
