Electrical Engineering Researcher
Flavio Ribeiro is an electrical engineering researcher with the Applied Sciences Group. His interests include hardware and firmware development, optimization, fast transforms, signal processing, acoustics and computational linear algebra.
Before joining ASG, he worked as an engineer at Licht Labs, where he developed mission-critical electronic devices for power substations. In the summers of 2009, 2010 and 2011, he was a research intern at Microsoft Research Redmond, working with the Multimedia, Interaction and Communication group.
Ribeiro graduated from the University of São Paulo with B.S. degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2012 from the same university.
