Whether you make it a weekly or monthly magnet calendar, definitely make it a wipe-off! That way, it's good for the whole week or month, ready to change as do your plans. Because these calendars are printed on magnets, you can put them on your refrigerator for easy access. Just use dry-erase markers, after covering your printed magnet sheet—front side only—with laminate. You can have the lamination done at your copy center. Or follow these easy directions to do it yourself.
Print the calendar onto a magnet sheet. Print onto the magnet sheet the same way you would print onto a standard sheet of paper.
3.
On the front side only, cover your calendar with a sheet of laminate following the instructions in the package. Note that you cannot reposition laminate sheets once you adhere them. The photos here show my personal tips on smooth placement.
First, peel off "starter" paper from laminate sheet. You now have about 1/2" of sticky backing revealed.
Next, lay the magnet face-down onto the revealed sticky-back. Use the grid-lines on remaining paper as a guide. Flip over adhered portion of magnet.
Once the magnet is flipped (the calendar, now right-side up, will have just its edge adhered to laminate), start to peel off remaining paper.
Slip a rolling pin under the magnet before you flip it back over to lay on the laminate. As you continue slowly peeling off paper, use the rolling pin at the same time to help gently glide the magnet over laminate until it is fully adhered.
4.
Trim the edges of the calendar once the laminate is smoothed into place so that only your calendar shows.
5.
Mount the magnet calendar on your refrigerator. Magnets are ubiquitous fixtures on refrigerators, where they're most handy. If your refrigerator has a stainless steel front, it's likely not magnetized. Either place your magnet on the refrigerator sides, which are magnetized. Or, buy one of the many mini-magnetized tablets that adhere to the front of the refrigerator. The one pictured here is in a "steel" tone that complements the appliance and provides convenient tack mounting for extra notes.

Tami Peterson Lewiski's first book, Digital Decorating, prompted The Wall Street Journal to draw comparisons with Martha Stewart. That diva's domestic crown, however, is of no interest to Tami. Digital Home Arts is her trademark and, as one magazine reviewer put it, "Tami wields her printer like a great artist wields a paintbrush: fearlessly!" She's shown her innovative techniques for creating sophisticated home furnishings and stylish entertaining as a guest on many Home & Garden Television (HGTV) programs, including The Carol Duvall Show.
