Are you using New Marketing to soar to higher results Melanie McKinney - Senior Consultant - Marketing & Digital Media, Carpe Diem Consulting Are you receiving conflicting information from everyone you talk to about marketing: "You need a new website" (said the website provider), "We should do some telemarketing" (said the telemarketer), "You've got to rebrand" (said the graphic designer) etc. Have you been wondering why the "good old" marketing methods of buying a list, blasting and calling are no longer working and prospects are getting irritated by your efforts? There are highly successful New Marketing techniques that are vastly underused and largely unknown. Content marketing, social media and search engine optimisation are techniques talked about constantly but many business just don't know how to integrate these new methods into their current marketing activities. So what's the secret to this New Marketing success? Join this session to understand how you can adopt New marketing techniques to achieve better results.
The challenger sale: taking control of the customer conversation Bruce Rasmussen - Managing Director, Carpe Diem Consulting Our traditional sales processes date back to the 1800’s. Modern B2B buyers have completely changed how they buy – even over the last 3 years. We don’t sell how buyers buy. Research indicates that buyers only reach out to sales/marketing organisations when they’re around 70% of the way through their buyer journeys. This isn’t good for sales teams – it promotes competition, reduces margins, decreases pipeline velocity, and can lead to buyers “mis-diagnosing” their needs. In this session we will unpack the research around how buyers really buy – and based on this we will illustrate the need for what are called “Challenger” sales behaviours. The “Relationship Builder” - which is the POOREST performing sales profile – REMOVES tension from the sale. The “Challenger” - the HIGHEST performing sales profile – INTRODUCES tension, by providing the customer with “disruptive insights” that make them realise then need to “relearn” how to run different parts of their business. In addition to outlining key Challenger theories during the session, we will show practical examples of how Microsoft Partners are researching and presenting to customers these disruptive insights – thus engaging much earlier, certainly well in advance of any competition.

Covering the Cloud, Big Data, Mobility, Devices, Enterprise Social, Leadership, Sales & Marketing, APC 2014 will deliver four, main content tracks:

Track 1 – Cloud Platform

Whether it is in a public, private or hybrid cloud, IaaS, Virtualisation and managed services are forecasted to be our biggest growth drivers by 2018. In this track we’ll share best practices from Partners successfully developing packaged cloud offerings to manage desktops, storage or servers, as well as new opportunities around Microsoft Azure and our local data centre initiative.

Track 2 – Enterprise Social & Productivity

A new culture and set of social practices are emerging in both the consumer and business space. Customers are collaborating with each other, sharing information and influencing decision-making. They want to be able to find and talk to each other, and build new value together across traditional hierarchies and silos. When social information becomes embedded in your customers’ tools and processes, they can become a fully connected and engaged organisation.

Track 3 – Big Data

Data is at the core of all businesses and is needed to fuel growth and remain competitive. This track covers the tools and infrastructure that underpin enhanced decision making. From the infrastructure required to store, manage and connect data – whether on premise or cloud-based – to the tools that empower end-users to find, compile, visualise and share data.

Track 4 – Mobility & Devices

Sixty percent of SMBs support a mobile workforce, with mobility spend expected to double to $2b by 2018*. Discover the next generation of devices and services you will want to put into your clients hands to help them better service their own clients and be productive even when on the go.

Be sure to join us on the Gold Coast from 2 September for this unmissable event.
