Mike Walsh

Mike Walsh

Guest Speaker

APC 2013 is excited to welcome Mike Walsh – the leading authority on the digital future and bestselling author of Futuretainment - to speak about how business can turn tech trends into practical business strategies.

Rather than focusing on the distant future, Mike takes an anthropological approach - scanning the near horizon for emerging technologies and disruptive shifts in human behaviour, and then translating these into pragmatic plans for business transformation.

Mike is currently CEO of Tomorrow, a global innovation lab whose clients have included Fujifilm, Merck Pharmaceutical, BBC Worldwide, Bentley Motors and HSBC. Mike previously founded Jupiter Research in Australia, and has also held senior strategy roles at News Corporation in the Asia Pacific Region.

Mike’s views have appeared in Business Week, Fortune, Wallpaper Magazine, and has been profiled on CNN, Management TV, the ABC, and the BBC.

You won’t want to miss Mike at APC 2013.

Josh Waldo

Josh Waldo

Microsoft Speaker

With more than 15 years of experience at the sharp end of the tech industry to his name, there’s very little Josh Waldo doesn’t know about the pitfalls and potential of the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Currently serving as Senior Director of Cloud Partner Strategy within the Worldwide Partner Group, Josh and his team are charged with a formidable challenge – to help existing and emerging partners define, refine and align their business models with Microsoft Public Cloud.

Prior to joining Microsoft in 2006, Josh served as Vice President of Services for Metia, where he managed the Design, Web Development, Customer Evidence and Editorial practice groups. Tasked with driving business development, optimising delivery and building best practice, Josh continued to build on a stellar career arc launched at Oracle and accelerated at Siebel Systems.

With a Masters of Public Administration degree and a B.A. from Eastern Washington University, you may be forgiven for thinking Josh is all business. But his passion for his family – not to mention sport in all its forms – rounds out Josh’s resume, making him a perfect speaker at this year’s APC.

Don’t miss Josh at APC 2013.

Mark Linton

Mark Linton

Microsoft Speaker

Dreaming up new tech is one thing. Delivering it to market is another challenge entirely. Luckily for us, we can count on Mark Linton.

As Senior Director of OEM Product Management & Business Development arm, Mark’s remit is as simple as it is formidable – spearhead Microsoft’s global efforts to launch new platforms and services into the OEM channel. Thankfully, it’s a challenge Mark relishes.

Exhibiting the artistry of a concert conductor, the nerve of a test pilot and the tenacity of a long-distance runner, Mark leads his group to work in concert with manufacturing partners to deliver innovative new hardware. No mean feat given the inherent complexities.

Prior to his current role, Mark spent 5 years honing his skills in the Server & Tools business group, leading the Enterprise Application Platform Marketing team. Valuable experience as the global marketing lead for small business customers in Microsoft’s SMSP division and 3 years in product and channel management roles at Microsoft Australia rounds out Mark’s stellar career with Microsoft.

With a Bachelors Degree in Business and a Masters Degree in Information Systems from the University of New South Wales, we’re thrilled to welcome home a global success story.

Be sure to catch Mark at APC 2013.
