Tips and Tricks for APC 2013

  • Plan ahead. With so much to see and do, you’ll want to maximise your time. Review the agenda and track sessions to get a sense of what you can expect at APC. Allow plenty of time for networking with Microsoft and other partners in between sessions.
  • Book early. By making your travel plans far in advance, you’ll have a wider selection of hotels to choose from. You can also benefit from group booking hotel discounts and early bird APC ticket pricing.
  • Set goals. APC offers lots of opportunities for strategic planning, business building and networking. Create a short list of what you expect to gain from your APC experience to help you stay focused.
  • Gear up. Make sure you have power cords, chargers, mobile devices, adapters, business cards and any useful paperwork easily accessible.
  • Arrive early. Make the most of your APC experience by participating in the pre-day events and welcome dinner.
  • Try everything once. To get the full APC experience, try one of everything—schedule one meeting, attend one session, engage with one new attendee, vendor, and Microsoft employee. And attend one party.
  • Use your tools. Follow Twitter feeds #APC2013, and engage in conversations on APC Connect. These tools are crafted to help first-time attendees, so take advantage of them!
  • Team up. Connect with another partner who’s attending so he or she can show you the ropes.
  • Follow up. After the event, follow up quickly with your new contacts, so you can keep the momentum going all year long.
