Health
In Australia, and around the world, governments are looking at how people’s medical records can be stored in an accessible, secure, electronic format. By having electronic records, medical professionals would be able to access a person’s medical history anywhere, at any time. They could also bring together a range of records when needed, to determine important trends.

Trade
The promise of trade is that goods and services are made and supplied from countries that are the most efficient at doing so. In this way, consumers will get goods and services at the lowest possible price and therefore not have to spend more than they need to.

Ethics
Our society is more knowledgeable, more integrated and more globally aware than ever before. We now have opportunities that were never available to our parents – and our children will have opportunities that were never available to us.

Education
Australians regularly identify education as one of their top three public policy priorities – and there is an obvious requirement for additional resources and facilities at all levels.

Environment
We know we can consume a non-renewable resource only once. How important that resource is to us should be reflected in what we are prepared to pay for it - or how much of it we consume.

Online Safety
The Internet provides incredible opportunities for children and adults to learn and be entertained.

Economy
As Australia moves into recession, the Federal Government has gone into debt and borrowed money to facilitate a series of economic stimulus packages.
