First check that you have the latest version of ActiveSync 4.5 (for XP users) or Windows Mobile Device Centre (for Vista users) installed on your PC.

Connect your Windows Mobile device to your PC, using your USB sync cable.

Download and run the Update for Windows Mobile for PC. This will install the update on your device. Remember to check your device during the installation process, in case you have to confirm any steps.

To confirm that the update has been installed, on your device go to:
Start > Settings > System > Remove Programs.

If you see an item called ‘Microsoft Corp Feb 2008 DST Update’ in the list of programs, the update has been installed. Remember not to accidentally delete the update when you are looking at the list!

If you sync your Windows Mobile device with your PC, you will also need to update your PC with the Daylight Savings changes.

If you use Microsoft Outlook to sync your calendar, you will also need to download and run the Time Zone Data Update Tool. Before running the tool, print a copy of your calendar between the 30th March 2008 to 6th April 2008 and 5th October 2008 to 26th October 2008.
