  • Worldwide cloud services revenue will reach $68.3 billion in 2010, a 16.6 percent increase from 2009 revenue of $58.6 billion. By 2014, this figure is expected to reach $148.8 billion.
  • Enterprises are likely to spend $112 billion cumulatively on software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) in the course of the next 5 years.
  • The core ideas at the heart of cloud computing - such as pay for use, multi-tenancy and external services are resonating ever so strongly amongst users. Delivery of functionality less expensively and with more agility is a key driver of this adoption.
