Many teachers and lecturers work both on-site and at home. Microsoft provides through some of its licensing agreements the opportunity to use products at home and work through its Work at Home Rights.

Education institutions that have acquired licences through Microsoft Academic Select Volume Licensing programs may grant their faculty and staff the right to use a second copy of a limited selection of products on either a home or portable computer for work-related purposes.

The following is an overview of the Work At Home rights available through the volume licensing programs listed below.

For each licensed copy of Microsoft Office, the primary user of the computer on or from which the product is run may also run a second copy from either a laptop or desktop computer that he/she owns/leases. The software may be used only for work-related purposes and only during the term of the agreement (including any renewals). These Work at Home licences do not apply to students unless the student is also an employee.

Work at Home licences for Campus Agreement and School Agreement customers are available for all application, system and CAL products that you license at no extra cost. You can order Work at Home licences when completing your annual software order.

You must make reasonable efforts to ensure that faculty, staff or other employee users delete and remove such copies from their computers at the end of the agreement term.
