Peter Watson
Peter Watson is the Chief Security Advisor for Microsoft Australia, reporting directly to the country General Manager. Peter has worked within the computer security and control field for the last seventeen years. Peter performs the role of “trusted advisor” to some of Australia's and Asia Pacific's leading organisations, advising on trends and events in the broader security marketplace. His comprehensive security knowledge encompasses the life cycle of security from requirements, strategy, policy, standards through to architecture design, implementation and out-tasked management. Peter is extremely adept at assisting organisations in determining the value and benefits of security from a business perspective. A number of Australia's leading organisations have used Peter's security models to assist them in enacting security programmes that are not only business risk driven but operationally achievable.

Jesper Johansson
Jesper is a Senior Security Strategist in the Security Technology Unit at Microsoft. Jesper's job is to help Microsoft customers figure out how to use Microsoft's products securely. He delivers presentations on network security all over the world and is a frequent speaker at large conferences and custom workshops, particularly in places that lend themselves to great diving. Together with Steve Riley he co-authored Protect Your Windows Network (Addison-Wesley, 2005, ISBN 0321336437). He has a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a certified Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP).

Michael Kleef
Michael Kleef has worked for Microsoft for the past 5 years in areas such as user group communities and major events and provides insight and how-to knowledge into Microsoft platforms and applications. Previous to this he worked for a national systems integrator in directory integration and interoperability space. He holds a current MCSE certification and specialises in Windows platform technologies, Active Directory and Identity Management.

Andrew Coates
Before joining Microsoft as a Developer Evangelist, Andrew Coates was an independent consultant specialising in database applications using Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, Visual FoxPro and Microsoft Office. Andrew's wide range of experience includes telecommunications, SMB inventory, dispatch and accounting systems, using both web and rich client front ends. He has mentored a number of developers in Visual FoxPro and SQL Server technologies, and spoken at international conferences on Geographical Information Systems, health statistics and database maintenance. An MCSD, Andrew also holds a Masters degree in Civil Engineering.

Graham Elliott
Graham Elliott is the Technology Specialist responsible for the Application Platform and Application Architecture within Microsoft Australia's Enterprise and Partner Group. His responsibilities include helping customers architect, design and build solutions using Microsoft's current and future technologies. He is a frequent speaker on Microsoft's Application Platform offerings, Application Security and Web Services Strategy. Before joining Microsoft, Graham was a Solutions Architect for Avanade Australia and Accenture, developing and supporting Microsoft based enterprise solutions.

Jeff Alexander
Jeff Alexander, IT Pro Evangelist, is the man that consolidated the Australia and New Zealand data centers into a single Asia pacific Data Center, in a project that reduced the number of Microsoft Data centers from 23 to only 4. Jeff started at Microsoft in August 1987 as a Support Professional focusing on management tools for Microsoft's Enterprise customers. Since then he has moved through several external facing roles before taking on one of the Worlds largest Server consolidations - Microsoft's Asia Pacific infrastructure. Jeff now focuses his passion for Infrastructure and management technologies as an Evangelist promoting and enabling the community of IT Professionals through vehicles as TechNet events, blogging, the TechNet Web Site (TechNet lounge), User Groups, MVP's, and online webcasts.

Steve Riley
Steve Riley is a Senior Security Strategist in Microsoft's Security Technology Unit in Redmond, Washington, USA. Steve specializes in network and host security, communication protocols, network design, and information security policies and process. His customers include various ISPs and ASPs around the United States, as well as traditional enterprise IT customers, for whom he has conducted security assessments and risk analyses, deployed technologies for prevention and detection, and designed highly-available network architectures. Steve is a frequent and popular speaker at conferences worldwide, often appearing Asia one week and Europe the next.

Andrew McMurray
Andrew McMurray is a Technology Specialist based in Melbourne and focusing on the Microsoft Management technologies. He recently joined Microsoft from Telstra, where he was running the TelstraOne .NET hosting network, which is a three tiered network used for internal Telstra applications. His role involved being a technical lead for projects wanting to deploy into the environment and managing those applications. He is extremely passionate about management technologies and how they can fit into the IT landscape of leading companies.

Jamie Sharp
Jamie Sharp is a Security Advisor with Microsoft. He has 10 years of IT Security experience and holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. Jamie advises clients on best practice strategies for mitigating complex security issues. His technical security competencies include network and host security, communication protocols, network design, information security policy and process, threat and risk assessments, enterprise architecture and regulatory compliance. He has conducted security assessments and risk analyses, deployed technologies for prevention and detection of security vulnerabilities and designed highly-available enterprise architectures. An analyser from birth, Jamie spends his time out of work asking the question ?why' and trying to find holes in the daily processes of life.

Rocky Heckman
Rocky is currently consulting for Readify as a Senior Consultant and is the technical lead for Readify's Security and Monitoring practice. He is an MCSD and a CISSP as well as pursuing a Research Masters on securing the software development life cycle. He was recently awarded a Visual Developer - Security MVP from Microsoft. Since moving to Australia in 2000 he has been working with companies such as Vish Corporation, Softlaw, and the Australian Taxation Office on various projects ranging from personal portals, to expert systems and application frameworks. As a Developer Lead and Senior .NET Architect on the ATO's Framework team in addition to training other staff in secure development practices, Rocky designed and lead the development of a framework which introduced 2-way data binding for web forms and a master-page style web development framework used by the ATO application development teams.

Dave Glover
Dave Glover is a .NETDeveloper Evangelist at Microsoft Australia. He started his Microsoft career working with customers adopting Windows NT 3.0, SQL Server and SMS, but mostly he has worked with software developers within Customers and Partners. His role is to work with developers building .NET based solutions within Customers, Partners, ISVs and User Group Communities. He also does a considerable amount of public speaking across the major cities in Australia. Dave's main technical skill sets are around Web Dev, Web Services, Standards based SOAs, building apps for mobile devices - PPCs and Smartphones etc and he has a realistic view of Microsoft and the general IT Industry directions.

Mario D'Silva
Mario has more than 6 years experience at Microsoft. Prior to taking up his current role as a National Technology Specialist in 2002 he worked as a Consultant with Microsoft Services for 2 years with focus on Infrastructure products such as Windows server, Active Directory, Microsoft Operations Manager, Messaging and Collaboration technologies. Prior to his employment with Microsoft Mario worked for a large Multinational company in varying capacities from Messaging Consultant to Messaging Team Leader over a period of 7 years. Mario advises clients on best practice strategies for designing, implementing and migrating complex infrastructure solutions which includes security as an area of focus.
