Peter Watson Peter Watson is the Chief Security Advisor for Microsoft Australia, reporting directly to the country General Manager. Peter has worked within the computer security and control field for the last seventeen years. Peter performs the role of “trusted advisor” to some of Australia's and Asia Pacific's leading organisations, advising on trends and events in the broader security marketplace. His comprehensive security knowledge encompasses the life cycle of security from requirements, strategy, policy, standards through to architecture design, implementation and out-tasked management. Peter is extremely adept at assisting organisations in determining the value and benefits of security from a business perspective. A number of Australia's leading organisations have used Peter's security models to assist them in enacting security programmes that are not only business risk driven but operationally achievable. | | |

Jesper Johansson Jesper is a Senior Security Strategist in the Security Technology Unit at Microsoft. Jesper's job is to help Microsoft customers figure out how to use Microsoft's products securely. He delivers presentations on network security all over the world and is a frequent speaker at large conferences and custom workshops, particularly in places that lend themselves to great diving. Together with Steve Riley he co-authored Protect Your Windows Network (Addison-Wesley, 2005, ISBN 0321336437). Andrew Coates Before joining Microsoft as a Developer Evangelist, Andrew Coates was an independent consultant specialising in database applications using Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, Visual FoxPro and Microsoft Office. Andrew's wide range of experience includes telecommunications, SMB inventory, dispatch and accounting systems, using both web and rich client front ends. Rocky Heckman Rocky is currently consulting for Readify as a Senior Consultant and is the technical lead for Readify's Security and Monitoring practice. He is an MCSD and a CISSP as well as pursuing a Research Masters on securing the software development life cycle. He was recently awarded a Visual Developer - Security MVP from Microsoft. Since moving to Australia in 2000 he has been working with companies such as Vish Corporation, Softlaw, and the Australian Taxation Office on various projects ranging from personal portals, to expert systems and application frameworks. As a Developer Lead and Senior .NET Architect on the ATO's Framework team in addition to training other staff in secure development practices, Rocky designed and lead the development of a framework which introduced 2-way data binding for web forms and a master-page style web development framework used by the ATO application development teams. | | |
