Improving Healthcare for our Growing, Ageing PopulationImproving Healthcare for our Growing, Ageing Population

Through the seamless connection of healthcare providers and aged care facilities, Microsoft collaborative technologies enable more efficient discharge planning, maximising the use of beds and facilities.

  • A complete patient record made available to staff through Microsoft software and devices enables faster diagnosis and more holistic treatment.
  • By enabling new care options, such as telemedicine, unobtrusive monitoring and medical alerts, Microsoft technologies allows the independence of patients to be prolonged, so they can remain in their own homes longer.

Case Study

UnitingCare Ageing is deploying a single integrated solution built using the Microsoft platform that enables staff to manage residential aged care facilities.
To manage all enquiries, applications, waitlists, admissions and bonds for its facilities throughout NSW and ACT, UnitingCare Ageing is deploying XaptCare, which is based on the Microsoft Business Solution - Axapta. Along with billing, subsidy, reconciliation and resident trust funds account administration, XaptCare can also be used to collect and store clinical data and medical history.

Key benefits
  • Multi-dimensional views of all information makes reporting easier and helps your facility stay compliant with government accreditation guidelines.
  • Because the solution is Web-enabled, deployment is easier and ongoing operation is more cost-efficient.
  • Robust security and record tracking down to data level helps to ensure privacy protection of resident data.
  • Because it is deployed on an integrated platform, the solution is ready to connect to the new Government data exchange functions, including electronic subsidy claim submission, claim payment/reconciliation and electronic Resident Entry Record forms.
