Care to change the world?

To bring real change to our world, we need bright ideas. So we're challenging Australian students to enter the Software Design Competition of the 2010 Imagine Cup and come up with concept ideas that use technology to solve the world's toughest issues.

If you win the Australian Finals, you'll score a trip to Warsaw, Poland to take part in the World Wide Finals, plus the chance for you and your team to get up to USD$25,000 in cash!

The eGreen system gives each scanned consumer product a green score based on its materials, manufacturing and shipping processes. The aim of this system is to give consumers information about the environmental impact of the products they buy. The eGreen rating system will integrate the product's environmental impact information from all stages in the product life cycle. Aside from this, the eGreen rating system will allow people to keep track of their individual environmental impact based on the eGreen ratings of the products they have already purchased.
