Software Assurance provides volume licensing customers the right to run any new versions of the covered product issued during the period of their Software Assurance coverage (the term of your volume licensing agreement or, if you are an Open License customer, 2 years from obtaining your Open License Authorisation Number). Software Assurance also gives you automatic access to support, tools, and training to help deploy new software efficiently, flexibly and cost effectively.
While Microsoft intends to continue to upgrade and enhance our products, we do not guarantee that a new version of any particular product will be released within any specific period.
