Abstract:
Microsoft Australia today announced that Expert Information Services is the first Australian company to meet the stringent membership requirements of its Gold Certified Partner Program for Security Solutions.

Press Release:
In support of Microsoft's overall security initiatives, the certification identifies services organisations that have demonstrated the highest standards of quality for securing enterprise business systems using a Microsoft platform. Expert is the 23rd company of only 32 companies worldwide to have achieved this level of security certification from Microsoft.

"Obtaining membership in the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program requires meeting strict and objective competency requirements for certification," said Calum Russell, Solution Market Manager, IT Infrastructure. "These standards help ensure that customers seeking security solutions will receive premier levels of quality when hiring a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Security Solutions."

Companies in this program, have surpassed the high benchmarks set by Microsoft and have proved their ability to architect, develop, deploy and manage security solutions. They have demonstrated that they are leaders in the security industry, not only in their products and solutions but also in their standards of performance.

"Expert is extremely pleased with the recognition of our security consulting capabilities in becoming a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Security Solutions," said Ivan Gomez, Partner Manager for Melbourne-based Expert. "The certification demonstrates our leadership and superior capability in this field. We view security as critical in delivering scalable and available business solutions, especially when using the Internet. Expert is committed to continually improving our capabilities to ensure that our clients can feel confident in leveraging the Internet for the benefit of their businesses."

In addition to providing certified partners with benefits such as early access to software, marketing and sales tools and resources, and priority referrals, certification also offers customers the means to identify those companies that are committed to the highest industry standards in building and maintaining end-use solutions.

"Expert's membership in the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program in Security is a first for Australia, signifying the beginning of what we are confident will be a benchmark for Security Solutions. Microsoft is already looking forward to welcoming other Australian companies into the partner program," said Mr Russell.

Microsoft's Gold Certified Partner Program for Security Solutions was announced in December 2001 and is part of their overall commitment to working with partners to develop and deliver the best technology, tools, support and resources to enable success in the security industry. The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program for Security Solutions is the ninth category in the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program, which was unveiled in January 2001. Since then, more than 900 Microsoft Certified Partners have achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status in more than 70 countries and territories.
