Australian technology providers celebrated with 2005 Microsoft Partner Program Awards

Dimension Data, WebCentral and Eclipse Computing are among top honorees at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2005SYDNEY, Australia, 11 July 2005

Microsoft Australia today announced that Dimension Data and WebCentral have been recognised as winners of the 2005 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Program Awards. Eclipse Computing has also been announced as a winner of the Microsoft Business Solutions Award. The awards recognise top Microsoft partners that are delivering market-leading, Microsoft-based solutions. Award winners were chosen from more than 1,800 entries, and were announced July 9 at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Minneapolis, US.

Dimension Data was awarded the Security Solutions Award in the Sales and Marketing category. This award recognises partners that work with Microsoft to develop superior approaches to continually updating and improving Windows platform security by providing exceptional security infrastructure and management to customers.

WebCentral was awarded the Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Award in the Specialisation Excellence category. This award recognises partner excellence in delivering solutions including Web-based applications, internal and external portals, solutions for managing large amounts of data and translating it into business intelligence, and more efficient communications both within the enterprise and from remote sites.

The Microsoft Partner Program Awards recognise Microsoft Partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year. Multiple awards are distributed in four categories: Partner of the Year for Technology Innovation, Partner of the Year for Sales and Marketing, the Specialisation Excellence Awards and the Microsoft Initiative Awards.

Eclipse Computing was also awarded the Outstanding Partner of the Year (Asia Pacific) at the Microsoft Business Solutions Global Recognition Ceremony. The Outstanding Partner of the Year Award recognises partners who have demonstrated excellent business results and marketing excellence through the development of a vertical market solution based on a custom implementation.

Reserved for the top channel partners, the Microsoft Business Solutions President's Club is achieved by partners who have shown that their business has the expertise, the resources and the level of commitment it takes to serve customers at the highest standard.

Microsoft Business Solutions Inner Circle
Professional Advantage and Eclipse Computing have also qualified for Microsoft Business Solutions Inner Circle, by achieving tremendous business success and becoming part of the upper echelon of Microsoft Business Solutions partners who excelled at sales and customer additions in Microsoft's 2005 fiscal year.
