Sydney, Australia – 22 January, 2008 –Microsoft Australia today announced the appointment of Ms Pip Marlow as Public Sector Director.

Ms Marlow steps into the role, which embraces management of sales and marketing for all levels of government, education and health. In her previous role, Ms. Marlow was Small and Medium Business Sales (SMS&P) and Partner Director for Microsoft Australia.

“I am very pleased to announce that Pip has been appointed Public Sector Director, leveraging her strong leadership and passion for customers and partners, including working in the Public Sector in conjunction with our Partner base,” said Ms. Tracey Fellows, Managing Director at Microsoft Australia.

Ms Marlow has been with Microsoft for 12 years with her career spanning multiple roles. Starting in the Australian subsidiary, she then moved to Microsoft in the US in 1997 and returned to Australia in 2004. Throughout that period, Ms Marlow has worked in OEM and SMS&P.

“This new role presents an exciting opportunity for me professionally, since it enables me to engage with all levels of government, including the exciting new realm of health informatics and e-health initiatives,” said Ms Marlow. “I am also a strong believer in the power of education and to be in a central position to help guide these initiatives is fantastic.”
