Microsoft Australia appoints new Small Business Director

Microsoft Australia's commitment to small business continues to grow

SYDNEY, Australia, 19 October 2005

Sydney, Australia - 19 October, 2005 - Microsoft Australia today announced the appointment of Ms Therese McGrath to the role of Small Business Director.

Ms McGrath will be responsible for the local strategy and communication of Microsoft's small business technology and services to the 1.2 million small business customers in Australia.

“Small businesses can gain significant competitive advantages from the technology they use, but often they don't have the resources to get the right information to do so.

“Microsoft is strongly committed to helping small business customers gain access to the right information and technology to grow their business, and I am delighted be on board to drive this vision,” said Ms McGrath.

With previous roles at Thomsen NETg, Thomson Legal & Regulatory Asia Pacific, Lion Nathan Australia, Diageo PLC and Avis Europe, Ms McGrath has fifteen years' international experience in strategy, business development finance and business operations.
