Microsoft Australia is driving research into broadband services and applications at the University of Melbourne’s Institute for a Broadband-Enabled Society (IBES). Microsoft announced that it is providing IBES with $400,000 through the Industry Partner Program to support research at the Institute. The contribution will be used to seed fund new research projects focusing on broadband applications that will be of benefit to health, education and community sectors.
