Peter Williams
Pete Williams is recognised as a global thought leader on Innovation
and Use of Web technologies. A Chartered Accountant by background,
Pete moved into the Web space in 1993. He has a unique perspective
on how businesses can profit from using web technology.
Pete is CEO of Deloitte Digital, which is a new
business that delivers professional services
online. Prior to his role in Deloitte Digital,
Pete was CEO of Australia’s largest web
development firm, Eclipse.
Pete is a sought after speaker and commentator
and has featured in articles in the Wall Street
Journal, The Financial Times (UK), The Age and
SMH, The Australian, The Australian Financial
Review, BRW and many others. Pete has presented
in many countries including the US, Canada, UK,
Dubai, Netherlands, China, Hong Kong, Thailand
and Malaysia.

such as BHP, Telstra, AFL, NAB, ANZ and the
Federal and Victorian Governments.

Joe Pollard
— CEO ninemsn
Joe Pollard began her career over 24 years ago working for J. Walter
Thompson Advertising in Sydney, London and Hong Kong as a Media
Planner and then a Media Director. Joe worked on accounts including
Kelloggs, Unilever, Nestle, DeBeers and the Australian Tourist
Commission.
From 1996 to 2004, Joe worked for Nike Inc in the
United States where she held the position of Global Director of
Media, Digital and Content. Joe managed Nike’s media investments on
a global basis. In addition Joe ran all of Nike’s digital efforts
through nike.com and established their branded content division. In
2004, she transferred to Nike Japan as Marketing Director to manage
Brand Strategy.
In 2006, Joe joined PBL Media as Sales and Marketing
Director, responsible for expanding PBL Media services into
integrated marketing solutions.
In October 2008, Joe was appointed CEO of ninemsn.
Jordan Knight
Jordan is a Senior Developer with Readify and has over 8 years experience with the .NET framework.
Initially specialising in ASP.NET he has more recently been concentrating on client technologies, especially JavaScript and Silverlight.
Jordan runs SDDN, Australia's only Silverlight user group, and is a regular speaker and trainer on the subject.
Michael Kordahi
Michael Kordahi is a Developer Evangelist for Microsoft Australia. He has a strong background in web development and now focuses on working with passionate early adopters of Microsoft’s emerging web technologies.
If you stare deep into his eyes for long enough, you’ll likely see the lovingly warm glow of the Silverlight logo embedded deep in his pupil. He also spends his days in the land of Windows Live, WPF, ASP.NET and Vista Media Centre development.
He also blogs regularly over on delicategeniusblog.com and
spends his non waking hours dreaming of taking photos and slaying the bad guys over on Xbox Live.
Tatham Oddie
Tatham Oddie is a Microsoft MVP and regular presenter
at conferences and usergroups throughout
Australia and New Zealand. Director of a creative agency, turned Senior
Consultant with Readify,
his focus is on web technologies that look good and work well at the same time. His technical focus
lies around ASP.NET and its extensibility with frameworks like ASP.NET MVC, as well as quelling the
misheld belief that ASP.NET and web standards don’t get along.
Nick Hodge
A Professional Geek for Microsoft, Nick has over 23 years of IT industry experience in a variety of sales, technical, management, marketing and strategic roles. As a sought-after presenter, prolific social networker and a closet workaholic, Nick just loves technology. Especially software technology.
"Online" since 1987 and before the web, subsequently working with Internet technologies more years than there have been browsers, Nick has a strong belief that the current revolution of connection, collaboration and communication is going to have dramatic and unforeseen effects on the human condition. Some call this hyperconnectivity.
As a presenter of technology to all sized audiences, Nick loves to inspire people by showing them "shiny new things" that will change their life, the way they communicated, their organisation, community and business.
Currently working with Dynamic and Functional Languages for software development; and explaining to a variety of audiences what a Professional Geek from Microsoft actually does.
Michael Baker
Michael Baker is the GM of Technology for Incite. He has worked as the founder and director of ThinkSecure, a company that specialises in secure perimeter systems.
Michael is responsible for the technology at Incite from the development cycle through to commercialisation of products. And as such always has one foot in the future.
Michael’s research interests include .NET and Ruby on Rails Development, Geospatial and Cloud Computing.
He looks forward to sharing what he’s learnt and the insight he’s gained whilst establishing a leading Software + Service organisation in Australia.
David Burela
David Burela is a consultant working for Readify. He won the Imagine Cup last year as part of Team SOAK. David presents at regularly at usergroups, Readify’s RDN and also at codecamp this year
Matt Morphett — Amberdew Interaction Design
Matt Morphett is an experienced usability consultant and interaction designer with strong management consulting experience. Matt has designed solutions for deployment within complex organisations and as part of sophisticated IT programs. Matt is experienced in the analysis, design and evaluation of various forms of interaction between people and technology – including web-based systems, GUI applications and media rich solutions.
Jose Fajardo — Cynergy Systems
Jose Fajardo is a User Experience Designer/Developer with Cynergy. Skilled in .NET from its early days, he moved into the design world during the web evolution period. He fundamentally believes that the UI/UX are key to delivering a successful rich networked application and that everyone, regardless of what they believe, has a small designer waiting to come out. Jose builds these rich experiences out of Cynergy’s Sydney, Australia office.
Dave Glover — Microsoft Australia
Dave Glover has worked for Microsoft for 15 years mostly in our Developer Platform Group, the first 10 years
were with Microsoft UK and he transfer to Microsoft Australia in 2004. He has worked in various roles including
people management and across a broad spectrum of infrastructure and developer technologies with a variety of
customers and partners
His main technical skills include development of Web applications, Web Services, Standards based SOAs and Mobile
devices. He is also interested in Operating Systems (not just MS ones), communications and collaboration
technologies, gadgets and in general have a fairly good and realistic view of Microsoft and the general IT
Industry directions.
Shane Morris — Microsoft Australia
As a User Experience Evangelist at Microsoft, Shane Morris inspires, trains and collaborates with
organisations to create great experiences for their products and services.
Shane has worked as a user experience designer since 1991 and is a recognised leader in the field.
He has taught user-centred design techniques around the world and regularly presents and blogs on user experience,
interaction design, usability, and of course what Microsoft is up to in user experience. He works with both
creative and technical professionals - helping them collaborate to create services that empower, inspire and
reward.
Chris Pendleton — Microsoft US (Redmond)
Chris Pendleton (aka CP) is the Virtual Earth Technical Evangelist for Microsoft Corporation. CP has been
with Microsoft for over 6 years and has been in the location-based services and GIS industry for over 10 years.
CP specializes in all things Virtual Earth and Microsoft geospatial including, but not limited to technological
deep dives, web and mobile application architecture and development, licensing arrangements and 3rd party revenue
opportunities. CP has a long history of application development, architecture, consulting and deployment of large
scale web-based applications, especially those using geospatial intelligence. CP also authors the Virtual Earth
Blog on MSDN and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management from San Diego State University.
Bruce Furlong
Bruce is a recognised expert in the implementation of branding in Microsoft SharePoint solutions.
Originally from New Zealand, Bruce was an entrepreneurial Multimedia Developer, before joining Unique
World as Senior Technical Designer in 2007.
Passionate about the use of interactive media and user experiences in online marketing, Bruce has
delivered work for a wide range of enterprise clients, such as Telstra and NRMA.
Bruce has qualifications in multimedia and over 10 years of experience in SEO, web design,
CMS integration and user interface design.
