Bart De Smet

Microsoft MVP for Visual C# 

A former Visual C# MVP, Bart De Smet now works at Microsoft Corporation on the WPF dev team in an SDE role. Prior to this new challenge, Bart was active in the Belgian community evangelizing various Microsoft technologies, most of the time focusing on CLR, language innovation and frameworks. In his evangelism role, he's been speaking at various events and attended several international conferences including TechEd Europe, IT Forum and the PDC. In 2005, Bart graduated as a Master of Informatics from Ghent University, Belgium. Two years later, Bart became a Master of Computer Science Software Engineering from the same university.


Bill Hilf

Bill Hilf is the General Manager of Platform Strategy driving Microsoft's platform strategy efforts across the company. Bill’s primary focus is to champion platform initiatives that cross these groups, while leading long-term strategy planning in the Windows Server and Tools organization. In this role, Bill regularly engages with the field and worldwide regions to provide a direct channel for customer and community feedback. Formerly the the Regional Developer Adviser (DPE) for Microsoft MEA (Middle East and Africa), he was responsible for 85 countries spanning 4 continents and crossing 10 time zones. Now Chad is a Microsoft Regional Director covering Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia and a professional speaker at popular developer conferences worldwide. Chad was once introduced as having "mastered more languages than a United Nations translator." Chad is the author of the book Indy in Depth and has contributed to several other books on network communications and general programming. Chad writes regularly for the Software Developer Network Magazine (Dutch), and occasionally for other magazines. Chad is an expatriate who travels extensively year round with bases in Cyprus and Russia. Chad has also lived in Canada, Turkey, Jordan, and the United States. Daniel Meyer

Daniel is an Enterprise Technology Strategist with Microsoft EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). He is the EPG CATM Lead for Identity and Access Management in EMEA and works very closely with the Business/Product Groups in Redmond to drive field readiness, growth and platform adoption in EMEA. He is a speaker and organizer for many events like DEC Europe, Burton, RSA, MGX, TechEd and TechReady. Daniel is also responsible for managing partner relationships with key IDA partners and leads the competitive efforts for IDA in EMEA. Prior to joining Microsoft, Daniel worked for 8 years at Sun Microsystems in many different roles. Daniel is a lead technical specialist in many different areas like Application Platform, Java/J2EE, Web Services, SOA/ EAI, Portals and Identity Management. For several years, he was the EAI Lead in Europe, being responsible for some of the largest projects in Europe. Daniel van Soest is working for Microsoft Netherlands as an IT Pro Evangelist. Dave Webster

Dave is a Developer Evangelist for Microsoft Timezone in the UK. He has worked for Microsoft since 1992, starting off as a Principal Consultant in Microsoft New England. David De Backer

Edwin Yuen is the senior product manager in the Windows Enterprise Management division for System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Edwin came to Microsoft with the July 2006 acquisition of Softricity. Kevin Rhodes
