Newsletter for designers and interactive developers - Issue 9

Last month the MIX conference in Las Vegas was 'the place to be' for hearing about a bunch of Microsoft announcements first hand. When I say 'a bunch' that is something not to be taken lightly. We're giving you a glimpse here.

Starting with the Silverlight 4 RC announcement and confirming RTW for exactly today! You can also try out Expression Blend 4 Beta to design and build your Silverlight applications.
Internet Explorer 9 was shown for the first time, where we showed the first demos of SVG and HTML5 support.

But this year MIX was not only about the web, we had a very special invitee: Windows Phone got a very prominent place and it makes total sense. Mobile and web are becoming more intertwined and the new Windows Phone 7 platform is a clear bet in this direction.
We introduced the development platform for Windows Phone 7 at MIX. The good news is: it's all based on Silverlight and XNA, and all tools for creating exciting applications and games for Windows Phone 7 are totally free!

Read on and create exciting new experiences.
