HTML5 session recordings and major MIX11 announcements – Express Yourself Issue 14
Welcome to the Spring edition of the Express Yourself newsletter. This is a packed edition with loads of stuff on web standards, Silverlight 5, Windows Phone 7's next version and more.

After attending MIX11 conference in Las Vegas a few weeks ago I feel totally energized with what I saw there. To start with, on day 1 keynote Dean Hachamovitch showed us example of great web experiences running on Internet Explorer 9. But that was not all, to show Microsoft's commitment to web standards and keep the cadence of platform previews and feedback from the community, we also announced Internet Explorer 10 Developer Platform Preview 1.
On day 2 Joe Belfiore joined Scott Guthrie on stage to talk Windows Phone 7 update coming later this fall, Silverligh 5 beta and some amazing examples of what you can do with the upcoming Kinect for Windows SDK. I can highly recommend watching the keynotes from day 1 and day 2 of MIX.

These are exciting times to be a (web) developer.
