During TechDays 2009 from 10 till 12 March in Antwerp, more than 1.600 developers
and IT Pro's shaped their knowledge. Today we’re also sharing the session recordings
of the conference online, allowing the entire technical community to shape
their knowledge and prepare for the future.

Tools & Languages 
Your knowledge of development languages and proficiency with the tools you use to create software are the core of your skill set. The Tools & Languages track is packed with technical sessions that cover Visual Basic, Visual C# but also building mission-critical software using Visual Studio Team System and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices. Acquire the skills that you need to make an immediate impact in your organization while preparing for the future version of Visual Studio.
Client and Web User Experience 
Software development requires a comprehensive understanding of the targeted platform, be it Windows or the web. At same time the .NET Framework is key for managed code developers. The sessions in this track will provide in-depth information to help you better understand and dive into the platform you are developing for. Think out of the box and see how WPF, ASP.NET, XAML and Silverlight tools break the User Experience barriers and help you to go one step ahead on your application interaction design.
Servers and Services 
In this track you will find sessions on SQL Server 2008, SharePoint Server (MOSS), Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) in .NET Framework 3.5. Claims and authentication is also addressed as well as the Azure Services Platform.
Preconf 'Software + Services' 
In a nutshell, Software + Services is about combining and enhancing on-premise software with hosted and cloud based services. The pre-conference will explore the concept of S+S based solutions from a consumer and provider perspective. We look at the solutions and services from a delivery, experience and economical standpoint and discuss some prominent service offerings in more detail. We will look at what the Microsoft Azure Platform bring to the plate, the new emerging architectural patterns and how these patterns can be integrated in your existing architectures.
Preconf 'SharePoint 2007 development with .NET Framework 3.5' 
SharePoint 2007 is built on ASP.NET 2.0. When it was released the current development tool was Visual Studio 2005. Since then many technologies and tools have been released that integrate with SharePoint 2007, we can think about Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5, IIS7, etc. This pre-conference goes further than the basic introduction training on SharePoint, taking into account the use of latest technologies into SharePoint development. If you are already familiar with the basics of SharePoint development this course is for you. If you are not an experienced SharePoint developer, we recommend following the free Ramp Up learning path for SharePoint in order to prepare yourself.

Interested in learning more about the Windows Client technology and deployment of Windows 7? Explore the new Enterprise features of Windows 7, learn more about User Account Control in depth and defy the application compatibility issues. This track is all about the Windows client platform: Windows Vista and Windows 7. Please note that the information on Windows 7 was based on a beta version of the product and might have changed since then.
Server Infrastructure 
Windows Server 2008 gives IT professionals a flexible and robust set of tools to manage and control their IT infrastructure. In the server infrastructure track, you will find sessions on a broad range of technology improvements in Windows Server 2008 R2, Virtualization and Directory Services.
Management 
Managing today’s increasingly complex IT infrastructures requires integrated solutions that cross multiple disciplines. Truly integrated toolsets are key to managing costs during planning, deployment, and maintenance of new IT services. Microsoft has released a suite of tightly integrated management products - the System Center suite. The sessions in this track are about managing your infrastructure in an effective way, covering different products from Operations Manager, Virtual Machine Manager to Service Manager.
Security 
Do you want to sleep better at night, knowing that your organization’s IT environment is secure? As security threats are increasing in number as well as in impact, the job of securing the enterprise has become one of the most interesting and challenging ones in the industry. Sessions in this track focus on security features in the Windows platform as well as Microsoft security products that can help you more proactively and effectively protect your organization from attacks by using technologies like NAP, Server & Domain Isolation, monitoring your network by using Netmon, etc...
Database Platform 
Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft BI platform offer first rate data management and exploration to enable companies and individuals to maximize their potential to harvest competitive advantage from a secure, stable, record breaking performance data platform. In this track you will find sessions to help you upgrade towards SQL Server 2008 or run it in a Hyper-V environment.
Collaboration 
Here you’ll find information on how to make your Exchange server Highly available, run it on Hyper-V or not and learn how to effectively patch your SharePoint infrastructure.
