Welcome to the 5th edition of the Beta Experience newsletter for Windows Vista and 2007 Microsoft Office system.
In this edition we will focus on Windows Live™ and how you can leverage Windows Live in your own applications:
Windows Live is a new set of Internet software and services designed to put you in control of the information, relationships and interests you care about. Windows Live will make it easier for you to connect with people, and to quickly find the information you need, more safely and securely, whether you're on your PC or on the go. And it's evolving every day—with your feedback, it will just keep getting better.
Most of Windows Live APIs may still be in Beta stage, but as a developer you can explore the various APIs today and start build applications (or web sites) that integrate parts of Windows Live.
And there is more to come. No matter if you create desktop or web applications, Windows Live will unlock a vast range of functionality and data for your application.
We are also taking a closer look at Office Live. Office Live is Microsoft’s online offering to small and medium businesses.

Also this issue we have the
first of a hands on lab from 3sharp. There are server side components to this lab so you will need to
download the ISO of the server components as well as the Beta 2 clients.
And finally Ted Pattison is on hand again to show how to use the new code free tool -
SharePoint Designer.
Ted also shows us through
Content Types.
The fact that Windows SharePoint Services WSS v3 is implemented using ASP.Net 2.0 means that there are some exciting opportunities for businesses – in particular the ability to host WSS sites on the internet.
There is more to come!
